“We had Caleb from Ever Wilder Farm come over to do a plant walk on our property today. I have been wanting to do this for years, and he was the perfect guide to show us what all our land has to offer! If you are interested in learning what plants you can eat or use medicinally, I highly recommend scheduling a private plant walk. Today has inspired me so much to start making salves and tinctures!” – Meagan

What people are saying about a plant walk with Caleb:
This experience was surprisingly the highlight of our trip. We learned so much, spent time hiking through the woods, met an adorable piggy, and had a wonderful time just listening to Caleb. Would highly recommend – this is a must do in Ellijay and we’ll come back and redo this experience next time we’re back!
Our family including our 2 boys, ages 10 and 12, really enjoyed the informational hike around Caleb’s property. He was full of great info. Our kids loved the part where he taught us how to make rope from tree bark. My husband and I enjoyed learning about the different edible plants and their medicinal uses. There was so much to learn! We would take another hike or class with Caleb in a heartbeat. A great way to connect with nature in a different on our annual trip to the Georgia mountains.
I brought my children, ages 8 and 10, and it was perfect for them. Caleb is extremely knowledgeable and he explained things very well. He was considerate and patient. He customized our walk to meet our interests and experience level. My daughter said she really enjoyed the walk. She asked if we can return in a different season to see different plants. I highly recommend this experience.
“Wow this was a valuable experience. We learned practical and new information that I could use immediately. I love how peaceful and interactive the walk was. It was everything I hoped it would be. Cant wait to go back and learn more on our next Ellijay trip! Caleb is highly knowledgeable and a skilled teacher. I was impressed by Everwilder Farm and all that he is creating there. I am grateful Everwilder is sharing this important yet elusive knowledge. We will definitely book again.
PS. Kid friendly. My feisty toddler enjoyed herself so much, she walked with us the whole time. Also, the pig! After meeting Caleb’s sweet piggy, she is obsessed with pigs now. Love it.”

My partner and I booked this experience in the middle of winter and were astounded with all the things we could learn about every plant or tree we saw. We can not wait to come back!

Caleb was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the land. The land itself was beautiful, with a small creek flowing through and very diverse local plants and wildlife. Caleb was great about giving the history of uses of certain plants. It was an overall great experience and we hope to be back to visit the land during the different seasons
