This was an amazing experience. We learned so much about the ‘weeds’ that are actually edible and medicinal herbs that are right under our feet! I highly recommend this experience. It was fun and educational.

Great experience! Very informative about the local plants, what grow here and what can be made for eating, tea, or medicinal. Great eco culture at the farm, using the farm animals to churn and fertilize the soil, feeding them from that soil and then allowing it to grow and rejuvenate. Answers as many questions as he can and will always point you in the right direction! Very educational and highly recommended, we'll look to come back again!

We did the plant walk tour. It’s one of several events that they offer at Ever Wilder. It was pretty awesome. Learned a lot about using the nature around to eat, make medicine, rope and even fire. Caleb is an extremely knowledgeable guide and people of all ages will be sure to have fun and also learn something on this tour. And you’ll walk away paying more attention to and appreciating the nature all around you. If you’re visiting Ellijay or looking for something different to do with the family, I definitely recommend checking this out.

We love this place! The owners are super knowledgeable about plants. I've learned so much about native plants just from visiting this establishment. The property is gorgeous. It's a gem! One of the best places to visit in Ellijay!

We had a great time learning about identifying plants and fungi today. My girls were so impressed they asked to sign up for the yearly course. We can't wait for the first class! 🙂

They had a class on Edible Tubulars and Roots today that was very informational. It focuses on what native plants that are in the area that are good for eating, creating tinctures, teas, and ones to stay away from. Due to rainy conditions, they had roots ready, but when rain had slowed, would go out and show where they were growing and background on them. Also discussed other types that he didn't have at this time but could find in other areas not far. Patient when many questions were asked and was able to answer what could be answered. I will definitely be taking more classes in the future and requesting services on coming to my family's land to learn what we have.

Our family including our 2 boys, ages 10 and 12, really enjoyed the informational hike around Caleb’s property. He was full of great info. Our kids loved the part where he taught us how to make rope from tree bark. My husband and I enjoyed learning about the different edible plants and their medicinal uses. There was so much to learn! We would take another hike or class with Caleb in a heartbeat. A great way to connect with nature in a different way on our annual trip to the Georgia mountains.

Caleb is a really neat guy. He’s very knowledgeable with local flora and it’s medicinal uses. Our walk around his property was very educational and enjoyable. It is very neat to see people with such an interest in herbal remedies for common ailments. We certainly will be coming back and trying out his U-Pick Apothecary and other future activities on his land.
